GAME 1 – 5:30PM - Raiders vs Cowboys
The first quarter of this Div. 1 semifinal saw the Raiders open the scoring on a 50 yd catch & run TD by #15 WR Weston L. Convert by # 88 Matias P., was good making it 7-0 Raiders. Following an interception by Raiders #9 LB Seth H., #15 Weston L., scored his second TD of the game. Convert was good. Raiders led 14-0 at the end of the 1st qtr.
In the second, the Raiders added to their lead with a 55-yard catch & run TD by #84 WR James D. Convert was good making it 21-0 Raiders. #9 Raiders LB Seth H., came up with his 2nd interception but Raiders could not capitalize. The Cowboys got on the board with a 55-yard catch & run by #14 WR Ty J. Convert by K # 2 Lucas H., made the score 21-7 Raiders at the half.
The Cowboys executed an impressive 5 min 65-yard drive to start the 3rd quarter capped off by a 33-yard field goal by #2 Lucas H., making it 21-10 Raiders. In the 4th, the Raiders scored again with a 15-yard TD catch by #82 WR Zack A. The convert was good. 28-10 Raiders.
The Raiders rounded out the scoring with a single on a missed field goal and got the victory 29-10 to punch their ticket to the Div 1 Championship game.
The Cowboys defense was led by #45 DB Massi D., with an impressive 7 tackles and an interception. #85 DL Bennett A., and #44 LB Tyson N., chipped in with 4 tackles each.
Raiders offensive standouts were #15 WR Weston L., with 90+ all-purpose yards, #84 WR James D., with 70 receiving yards, #24 RB Jaiden B., with 55-yards on the ground, and #82 WR Levi J., with 70-yards in receiving and a fumble recovery. Raiders defense was anchored by #9 LB Seth H., with 4 tackles and 2 interceptions along with #92 DL Joe A., who was in the face of Cowboys QBs all game long and recorded 2 sacks.
GAME 2 – 7:45PM - Wildcats vs Calgary Chiefs
The Wildcats opened the scoring on a 23-yard catch in the endzone for a TD by #81 WR Shane R. Convert was no good. Cats lead 6-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd, after the Chiefs conceded a safety to make it 8-0 Wildcats, a 35-yard pass reception by #5 WR Jack G., and then the Wildcats scored their 2nd TD on a 55-yard catch & run by #20 Sebastian A. Convert by #59 K Aleksey G., made it 15-0 Wildcats at half time.
The Wildcats opened the 3rd quarter with a 60-yard drive including receptions by #4 WR Vincent P., a 20-yard catch & run by #11 WR Koen W., and then a 5-yard TD catch by #5 Jack G., for the TD. Convert was good making the score 22-0 Wildcats. Chiefs offense got into gear with #1 WR Oliver N., making a highlight reel sideline catch for a 30-yard gain, a 20-yard catch & run, and then a 1-yard TD catch. Convert was good. 22-7 Wildcats at the end of the 3rd.
In the 4th, after a 30-yard punt return by Chiefs #88 Jordan P., QB #10 Ethan M., scrambled out of a jam to complete a 20-yard TD pass to #5 WR Austin L. Convert by #25 K Thatcher J., made it close at 22-14 Wildcats.
While the Chiefs mounted a valiant effort to tie the score and aided by a Cats illegal contact penalty at the Wildcat 8-yard line, the Chiefs could not convert the chance. The Wildcats sealed the victory with a spectacular 80-yard catch & run by WR #10 Jeremy W., to the Chiefs 8 and then a TD pass to #5 Jack G. Convert was good.
Final score Wildcats 29 Chiefs 14.
The Chiefs defensive standout player was #35 LB Kadence O., with 5 tackles and a sack. Chiefs offense was led by #1 WR Oliver N., with 110 all-purpose yards. Honourable mention to Chiefs RB #6 Eri O., who suffered an apparent ankle injury and gutted out a return to the field in the 4th quarter with a couple of long carries through Wildcats defensive tacklers.
Wildcats defense had #25 DB Jackson G., with 5 tackles, and #6 LB Karl P., with a sack and an interception. On the Wildcats offense, #4 Vincent P., had 115 receiving yards while #3 RB Carson G. carried the mail with 40-yards on the ground.
