GAME 1 – 5:30PM - WILDCATS vs CALGARY CHIEFS
A nice evening for football saw the Wildcats & Calgary Chiefs square off in the early game at Hellard field. The 1st quarter saw the Chiefs concede a safety early on. Wildcats lead 2-0. After a 50-yard pass reception by Wildcats WR #4 Vincent P., the Chiefs DB #88 Jordan P., broke up a TD pass to the endzone by Cats QB # 12 Jackson M. The Cats were not to be denied as #3 RB Carson G., scored on a 1-yard plunge. Convert was no good making it 8-0 Wildcats. After a 25-yard run by Chiefs #6 RB Eri O., the Chiefs K #25 Thatcher J., kicked a 25-yard field goal to make it 8-3 Wildcats.In the 2nd quarter, several long runs from scrimmage by Chiefs #6 Eri O., and a Wildcats 30 yard TD run wiped out by a holding call, Chiefs QB #10 Ethan M., ran it in from the 5 for a Chiefs TD. Convert was good making the score Chiefs 10 Wildcats 8. Despite a 40-yard kickoff return by Wildcats #1 WR Oliver N., and a 35-yard run by Chiefs #6 Eri O., score remained 10-8 Chiefs at the half.
In the 3rd quarter, after a Chiefs 3rd down gamble stopped by Cats #97 DL Brayden W., the Chiefs #88 DB Jordon P., intercepted a Wildcats pass in the endzone and ran it out all the way to midfield. On the next Wildcats series, #20 RB Sebastian A., scored on an 18-yard run. Convert is good making it 15-10 Cats at the end of the 3rd. While the 4th quarter saw no scoring, it featured several long runs, and several great defensive plays by both teams. The final Chiefs drive of the game took them to the Cats 16-yard line but a pass to #5 WR Austin L., at the Wildcats 7 came up short of the 1st down on a measurement. An exciting finish and the final score Wildcats 15 Chiefs 10.
Wildcats offensive standouts were #4 WR Vincent P., with 70 all-purpose yards and #12 QB Jackson M., with well over 100-yards passing. The Cats Defense was anchored by #97 DL Brayden W. with 4 tackles, #50 LB Nathan J., with a big sack, and #59 Aleksey G., with several booming punts and 2 tackles.
Chiefs offense was led by #6 RB Eri O., with over 100-yards on the ground. On defense, #45 LB Josh G., #44 LB Owen B., and #35 LB Kadence O., each recorded 4 tackles. DB Jordon P., chipped in with 2 interceptions and #34 Kayden L., had one pick.
GAME 2 – 8:15PM - REBELS vs COWBOYS
This game featured an offensive powerhouse Cowboys team score TD’s by # 15 QB Finn G., #7 WR Heaton Y., two by #28 RB Xander O, #33 LB Massimo P. on an INT, #26 RB Ryan A., and by #31 LB Anthony H. on a 50 yard interception return to the EZ. Final score Cowboys 55 Rebels 2.Cowboys defense was led by # 85 DL Lucas S., with 3 tackles, a sack by #6 LB John D., and interceptions by five different players. Although the
Rebels couldn’t get anything going on offense, their defense recorded 4 tackles by #11 LB Antwone E., a sack by #70 DL Carson D., and a fumble recovery by #52 DL Colton Carr.
